8th May 2025 By Mark

I am going to start this month with a miracle that has happened and one that we are praising God for.  Sokheng (our Director) has had a chronic problem with allergies which means she has a runny nose and sneezes every day.   About four weeks ago, Sokheng told me she is not sneezing anymore, and I realized that she was right, I hadn’t seen or heard her sneeze for a while!
We are claiming this as a complete healing from Jesus.  It is great to see her bright and not feeling miserable every morning.  We give Jesus all the glory.  We are now asking that he heals her hand as she has repetitive strain.    Nothing is impossible for Jesus !!!

The children are back after Khmer New Year and enjoying being back at day care.  We have one little boy who has a physical disability.  He is very shy but likes me to pick him up and talk to him.  His ears are deformed, one thumb has no bones in it, so it is unless to him and he can’t speak but is always smiling and is a joy to be around.  Please pray for him.

Another child has a bad infection on the sole of his foot.  He has had to have an operation at the free children’s hospital, but he lives near the lake, the area is full of rubbish and is not clean, please pray that this infection clears up.
We have had a lot of rain over the past week which is very unusual – rainy season normally starts in June!  Flooding, hail, lightning has caused havoc especially in the village were homes have again been flooded.

Bible Study Group were taught about Easter and how Jesus rose from the dead.  Easter is not celebrated here except on the churches, so it is important that our Khmer brothers and sisters know how much Jesus did for them.
I am busy making key rings to sell when I come back to NI, I hope you like them.

The children when they go down to eat lunch and go home, love to fiddle with the pictures on the stairs.  I never know what shape they will be in when I go downstairs.  These pictures were taken over a 3-day period.

We will leave you with blessings for this month, rest in Jesus and trust him without question.

A request from the Eggshell Cambodia Board of Trustees:
As we all know from our personal lives, over the past few years most prices have risen substantially, and inflation continues to increase costs for us all.  These factors also affect charities, especially small charities like Eggshell Cambodia.
For the past few years, the Eggshell Cambodia expenditure has exceeded our income, and while we have tried to control costs this continues to be the case.  As daycare has grown, our costs have also grown.
As an organisation the work in Cambodia is funded through donations and as we are at the start of a new financial year, it may be a good opportunity to prayerfully review our giving.
It is quite normal to setup regular giving through standing order and then to forget it.  To this end, can we invite you to prayerfully review any standing order you have with Eggshell and consider if you could increase it, should your personal circumstances permit.
Or if you don’t currently support us, would you consider supporting by regular giving?
Links and QR code to the donations page are below.
Liz, Mark and the whole team really appreciate your interest in the work and support in whatever form that takes.
If you know any church who would be interested in hearing about the work of Eggshell Cambodia please contact us.

Please email info@EggshellCambodia.com.

Thank you.
